From Detroit, Michigan, by way of Panama City, Florida, Omar “Scooby,” Ross is known for his adorable smile and sweet tenor.
A graduate of the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, Omar received his Bachelor of Communication with a focus in Screenwriting and Music Production.
Omar has a feature role in a K-Swiss National Television Commercial. He originated the role of Pip in the Original Stephen Schwartz Magic Show Magic to Do for Princess Cruises Ruby of the Seas. Omar also is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
Meditation is a large part of Omar’s everyday life, and he counts the Group Meditation Golden Domes in Fairfield, Iowa—where more than 1,000 men and women meditate twice daily for global peace—among his favorite places. He even has a tattoo on his right arm of the Hindi OM symbol.
Omar is learning to play the piano. For fun, he likes to read adventure fantasy books, write stories, journal, go hiking, play cards, write songs, play arcade games, go bowling, listen to ’90s music, watch musicals and plays and shamelessly take selfies.
Alanis Morrissette, Boys II Men, The Beatles, Jason Mraz, and George Michael are among his long list of musical influences. He counts Anthony Warlow, Audra McDonald, and Stevie Wonder as some of his favorite artists.
