A native of Rochester, New York, Lance “The Professor” Bernard Bryant is acclaimed for his smooth, rich baritone and dazzling smile.

A graduate of the State University College at Fredonia, Lance received his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance, while appearing in several roles including Colas in Bastien und Bastienne, Gourmantus in The Egg, and Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus.

While studying under the direction of Dr. Robert Wells, Lance won the Concerto Competition at Fredonia. As an active member of the academic community, he was also a Fraternity Education Officer in the Rho Chi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

In 2011, Lance joined the cast as a co-lead vocalist in Cirque Du Soleil’s production of “ZAiA” in Macao, China. 

Among his other notable performances, Lance was Delray in Memphis, Frederick in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, and featured in Ralph Vaughan William’s Five Mystical Songs with Gregory Kunde Chorale.  

If Lance is not cooking, meditating, or doing his daily social media “Sing and Stroll,” you might find him eating sushi with fresh wasabi, drinking red wine, and shopping at Costco or Trader Joe’s. Lance credits Adele, Babyface, Nat “King” Cole, Luther Vandross, and Prince among his many musical influences citing Morgan Freeman and Angela Bassett as his favorite actors.
